Most of the parents in current society are against love. And most of the lovers; if their parents won't agree their love, they either commit suicide or they rush away from their parents. But they doesn't think atleast once the reason why their parents haven't agreed. At least they won't try to convince assuming their won't agree any way. Parents love us most than any one could ever. They don't want us suffer.
But to do so is just a foolish thing. Some people are well settled in their lives and do so. In this kind atleast they can lead their lives with no problems. But there are people who have no support who commits so who faces lot of difficulties in their lives which lead to breakup or deaths.
What ever might be the situation we should go not for wrong. We have think of twice and twice of twice. We should not make parents suffer. If we create faith that your love is genuine and can lead life with no problems, no parent could say "no" to you.
And most of the cases... Parents of girl are against love as they couldn't decide the character of boy whether is a good person or not and what kind of family does boy's is. As if we consider a boy and girl; Most sufferings will be to a girl but not boy how ever a boy do suffer of a girl. But it's a different aspect.
Our parents are elder than us... have seen the world of different angles than to us, met different kinds of people and seen many stories. They have experienced many situations. Parents are not enemies of us. They are our well wishers. But there are some kinds who are in assumption that they are only rite in their own way and consider their children as still kinds even they are aged and think thy can't make their decisions. These kinds even not listen to their children. Even they know whether they are wrong they won't accept it.
But we being their children shouldn't make them suffer. We have to try for best to make them convinced.
